CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Furloughed workers… what’s it all about?
One of the Government’s schemes to help businesses through this uncertain time, is the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
This scheme allows businesses to keep their employees on their payroll, and will reimburse 80% of the costs.
- But how do you furlough an employee?
- What is that 80% of?
- What restrictions are there?
- What does the £2,500 cover?
The team at MDH were kindly invited to attend a webinar with a practicing barrister at Outer Temple Chambers, to run through the common questions which have arisen from the Government announcing the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
If you would like a copy of the questions and answers discussed during the webinar, including the ones above, please email natalie@mdh.me.uk, and we will send these over to you.
If you are concerned about how Covid-19 will affect you and your business, please give us a call on 020 8647 0297.
Although the MDH team are now working from home, we are still here to support you with whatever concerns you may have.
We have prepared information sheets detailing the different packages and schemes the Chancellor has set out, the eligibility of these schemes, and how to get access.
